Renovations

Because of the extended opening hours of Disneyland Paris, it is almost impossible to schedule maintenance outside these times. Obviously, most of the regular maintenance work takes place outside opening hours so that the guest is least inconvenienced by it. Now attractions, hotels and restaurants simply need major maintenance. This generally means that they are closed for a certain period of time in order to carry out maintenance as well as possible.

Attractions

Disneyland Paris is trying to limit the inconvenience of a closure as an extra service. This way they keep alternative attractions from the same genre open. But keep in mind that the maintenance schedule can be changed at any time. Therefore, consult the information boards and the official app of Disneyland Paris just before departure or on arrival. There you will find the most current planning.

Hotels

The hotels also occasionally need a renovation to improve the technical installation or just to stay updated with the latest technologies and trends. For example, maintenance can happen on one of the swimming pools or the restaurant. Maintenance at your hotel will be announced in advance and can be found on the Disney site. If you have booked and your hotel is closed during that period, you will be transferred to a comparable hotel or a better hotel if possible.

Expansion of the parks

Disneyland Paris is growing. Various expansions have been announced for the resort. The largest expansion is currently taking place at Walt Disney Studios Park. Some existing attractions will have to make way for new attractions. This creates an entirely new themed land of Avengers Campus. What also has come out, is that the park will grow in size and will be more than twice it’s size. This creates an opportunity to add new themed areas such as Star Wars and Frozen. There will also be a large lake in the middle where new evening shows can take place in the evening. Avengers campus opens summer 2022. No opening dates have yet been announced for the other theme areas. Ground work has already started in the area to prepare everything for the arrival of the two other theme parts.
