After a closure of a whopping 2 years, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. The reopening of the renovated Disneyland Hotel in Disneyland Paris. Those who have visited Disneyland Paris in the past 2 years will remember the construction fences around the entrance to the Disneyland park. On the outside, the iconic Disney Hotel hadn’t changed much. Well, there was some much-needed maintenance on one of the most photographed spots in Disneyland Paris. But on the inside, it has undergone a true transformation with a royal touch.

Disney Touch

Disney is in the process of adding a “Disney touch” to its hotels. What do I mean by a “Disney touch”? I mean that the hotel is themed after one of the well-known Disney, Pixar, or Marvel films. For example, elements of the film Cars have been added to Hotel Santa Fe, and Toy Story elements to Hotel Cheyenne. Both are logical choices considering the style of the hotel. One of the most recent updates is the transformation of Hotel New York, which is now entirely dedicated to Marvel superheroes. With the opening of Disney Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel, the Disneyland Hotel closed its doors.

Royal Theme

Even the Disneyland Hotel is getting that special Disney treatment it deserves. Due to its fairytale appearance and beautiful location, a royal theme featuring well-known Disney princesses from the entire Disney collection has been chosen. This most famous hotel, located at the entrance of the Disneyland park, will open on January 25, 2024. Reservations for this hotel can be made through the special early booking offer and the lowest price calendar.

Lobby of the Disneyland Hotel

When you enter the Disneyland Hotel, you step into the majestic lobby that has been completely renovated and rethemed from top to bottom. Here, you’ll find various references to Sleeping Beauty with beautiful artworks of the castle in the Disneyland park, as well as the Gothic decor reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast. If you want to meet Disney princesses, head to the newly redesigned “rotunda” where Disney musicians occasionally perform live music. The entrance to the bar and restaurants leads to the Rotunda.

Rooms at the Disneyland Hotel

In addition to the royal upgrade of all facilities, the rooms have also been completely refurbished. All rooms have been given a princess theme. We see that the basic layout of the rooms remains the same. However, the artworks above the beds vary. For example, you can see Vaiana, Rapunzel, and Ariel in the example below. The Disneyland Hotel offers three categories:

  1. The Deluxe Room (pictured with Vaiana and Rapunzel),
  2. The Superior Room (pictured with Ariel),
  3. The Castle Club Rooms.

The Castle Club Rooms are similar to the Deluxe Rooms but come with additional amenities such as a private floor, a private elevator, a special check-in counter, and access to the Castle Club Lounge for breakfast with Disney princesses, among other perks. If you want to feel truly royal, book a suite with a separate theme such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Frozen, and Beauty and the Beast.

Restaurants and Bars

If you want to live like a royal, you must dine as a royal. The former “Inventions” restaurant has been transformed into The Royal Banquet Buffet restaurant. Here, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During lunch and dinner, you can meet Mickey and his friends. The former California Grill Restaurant has been converted into the Beauty and the Beast Ballroom, now named “Le Table de Lumière.” Here, you can meet your favorite Disney princesses.

There is a significant difference from other Disney hotels. Both restaurants are available for dinner reservations only to Disneyland Hotel guests. Lunch is also available to guests from other Disney hotels. Visitors not staying at a Disney hotel, day guests, or those staying outside the resort cannot make reservations.

Castle Club guests have access to the exclusive “Castle Club Lounge” with a view of the Disneyland Park. In the morning, you can have breakfast with Disney princesses, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy snacks and drinks. These are all included magical extras.

For children, various paid facilities are available at “The Royal Kids Club.” This is a magical library from Beauty and the Beast where children can participate in interactive games and “My Royal Dream” (formerly known as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique), where kids (both boys and girls) can be transformed into princes or princesses.

Disneyland Hotel guests can reserve a royal moment with a Disney princess through the Disneyland Paris app (free of charge), similar to the encounters with Marvel superheroes at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in the Hero Station.
