Starting from April 19, 2025, Disneyland Paris will celebrate the very first Disney Music Festival. Here you will see live performers in the many shows and happenings alongside your favorite Disney characters. The Disney Music Festival will last until September 7, 2025. Disney was inspired by a French tradition, Fête de la Musique, where amateur musicians get the chance to perform on the street. In Disneyland Park, this will take shape through 12 different activities in 5 areas (Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland).
Disney Music Festival in Disneyland Paris offers new shows and performances
Disneyland Park comes to life musically during the Disney Music Festival with big shows, small happenings, and performances. Wherever you are in Disneyland Park, the familiar melodies will greet you, and you will recognize the various musical worlds of Disney and Pixar.
On Main Street U.S.A., you will be welcomed in the morning by Mickey Mouse, who has dressed in his special outfit for the occasion and greets you from the top at the Main Street Station. Minnie Mouse will walk through the street together with a 12-piece fanfare called Minnie’s Marching Band. And at the gazebo on Town Square, you will find Mary Poppins who joins a Pearly Band performing the famous songs from the Mary Poppins films. Further down at Central Plaza, by the Sleeping Beauty Castle, you will see Goofy as the orchestra conductor. He has a problem though – there is no orchestra.
Turning left towards Frontierland, the cheerful tunes and melodies of the mariachi band greet us. The mariachi band, along with Miguel from the Pixar film Coco, will make it a real party during Miguel’s Fiesta Latina.
Walking through to Adventureland, we see Moana, who is happy to teach you some dance steps, and a little further on, we see Timon with his Matadance. This show we know from the Lion King and Jungle Festival.
In Fantasyland, at The Old Mill, Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled celebrate a village festival together with a four-piece folk band. This is clearly inspired by the scene in which Rapunzel, Pascal, Flynn, and Maximus arrive in the kingdom of Corona. As we continue on, we see at the Italian part of Fantasyland, Donald Duck and Daisy performing a sketch together with an accordion player.
In Discoveryland, you can find a musical Meet-and-greet location with Stitch. Additionally, at the Videopolis Theatre, you can see a rock performance multiple times a day with Disney music and hits that are a tribute to the timeless Disney classics.
Theme Song of the Disney Music Festival
Of course, the Disney Music Festival has its own theme song, linking all the acts together. According to Robin, not the same lead will be played everywhere in the park, but twelve different arrangements will be heard. For this spectacular musical piece, Roger Butterly and Tim Heintz will be responsible. They are known for, among others, the evening show song Happily Ever After from Walt Disney World and the well-known Jungle Book Jive.
At the end of the day, a surprise follows, and all eighty artists come together to celebrate the richness of music and the idea of togetherness. And of course, Mickey Mouse waves you off musically after the new evening show Disney Tales of Magic.
